This day-long symposium of multiple panels focused on undocumented students in higher education from various perspectives.

Among the many ongoing debates in higher education is the controversy regarding enrolling and funding undocumented students. Not U.S. citizens or legal residents, these students face political, social, financial, and legal barriers with accessing U.S. higher education. These students are talented and motivated youth who have already overcome multiple obstacles that often include poverty, assimilation, and language barriers. This day-long symposium of multiple panels will focus on undocumented students in higher education from various perspectives including policy, advocacy, research, and practice. Presenters will shed light on the wide range of issues raised in this debate.
